MARIA FILOMENA COSTA It is with heavy hearts the family announces the peaceful passing of our dear mother Maria, on Saturday, April 3, 2004. Maria was predeceased by her loving husband Artur; granddaughter Alexandra Isabella; and parents, Manuel Tavares Mare and Maria De Conceicao Ferreira De Coite. She will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her children, Joe (Trudy) grandchildren, Christopher and Isabella, Victor (Sherry), granddaughter Stefanie, Arthur (Sandra), grandchildren, Ana-Maria and Alexander, Lizette (Peter) Grivicic. She also leaves to mourn her passing, sisters, Maria De Deus (Andre), Maria De Conceicao (Agostinho) and brother Luis (Idelta) numerous nieces, nephews as well as other relatives and friends. Maria was born in S. Miguel Acores, Portugal on August 25, 1938. She worked throughout her life in the garment industry, most recently at Tundra, where she made many wonderful friends. She was a very gifted seamstress and her creative talents were evident in all the wonderful things she made. She was a kind, gentle and caring wife and mother who touched the lives of those who knew her. She was very supportive, always willing to lend a helping hand. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and cherished their visits. Our mother was deeply saddened after our fathers passing in 2001. She missed him dearly and looked forward to reuniting with him in Gods heavenly kingdom. We take great comfort in knowing that our parents are together again. To all of those who provided such tender, loving care to our mother, our undying gratitude. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, April 6 at 8:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 7 at 10:00 a.m. also at the church, with Rev. Fr. Jose Eduardo Medeiros officiating. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. If so desired, flowers are gratefully accepted or in lieu, donations may be made in Marias memory to the Childrens Wish Foundation, 350 St. Mary. "You were always there when we needed you" No task too great or small With a loving heart and a willing hand For us you did them all. Thanks for the years you gave us, And for the precious times we shared, We only pray when you left us You knew how much we cared. God saw you getting tired. When a cure was not to be, He put His arms around you and said, Come unto Me." FOREVER IN OUR MEMORIES CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
